Printed letter signed, with an autograph postscript signed, dated : Vienna, 26 October 1809, to Hofgerichts Rath Kirmes in Weimar, 1809 Oct. 26.

Observing that faulty and incomplete scores of his works are being sold, saying that from now on all his works are to be ordered and obtained only from him, that authorized scores will bear his seal and handwritten name, warning distant buyers that he will prosecute any unauthorized foreign performances of his operas; in the postscript he offers, for 10 ducats in gold, his newest opera, Die Schweizer Familie, and gives his full title and address.
